When I get bookings for family sessions the first question I usually get asked is ‘what should we wear?’ I send out a Pinterest board with outfit idea’s, mostly for colour decisions. It gives you a good idea of what colours work well together and also gives you an overall look you’d like to achieve in your photographs.
The thing to remember foremost when deciding what you want to wear for your family photoshoot is that current fashion trends tend to fade quite quickly. Neutral plain clothing is always a winner, as in 10+ years when your images are hanging on the wall, they’re never going to look dated due to your clothing.
The Arkell family nailed the brief for their family photo session, they came with two sets of colour coordinated outfits and looked great in both! Both outfit choices are easily timeless and still with a slight flair of green to bring emphasis to their personality.
