I’ve photographed many babies over the years, but it’s very rare that I get to photograph twins and I love it! One of the first questions people ask when they enquire with a twin booking is ‘Does it cost more as there are 2 babies?’ The answer is no, it’s the same cost regardless. The session itself is treated the same way. I usually allow for extra time during a twin newborn photoshoot or a twin cake smash photoshoot because as you can imagine it may take a little longer to settle/feed more than one baby.
These twin babies were 4 weeks old at the time of their newborn photoshoot. They were born early, which is quite common for twin pregnancies so at 4 weeks old they were still very dainty! The doctor that delivered the babies said they were identical but it’s so hard to see with how different they look. One baby has a thick head of hair, where as the other has none. While editing their gallery though and seeing their faces side by side you can see how similar their features are. So I imagine you’ll see it more when they start to grow.
They’re due back in for their next milestone session once they’re sitting so I can’t wait to see how much they’ve grown.
